Creekwalker Poetry Prize
the
After nine years publishing the poetry of both veteran and novice poets, we established the Creekwalker Poetry Prize in 2007. The
poetry of
Diana Woodcock, our inaugural winner, captured in tone and thematic quality the kind of work for which we created the Prize.

Entries are accepted between January 1st and April 30th of each year. Our contest is international in scope, is not limited by subject
matter and accepts previously published, unrestricted poetry.

Our 2008 Finalists' Judge is
Dr. Oliver Rice, Ph.D.. Dr. Rice has received the Theodore Roethke Prize and twice been nominated for a
Pushcart Prize. His poems have been published widely in the United States as well as in Canada, England, Austria, Turkey and India .
His work appears in three current anthologies: Ohio Review’s
New and Selected, Bedford/St. Martin’s Introduction to Literature, and
Random House/Billy Collins’
180 More. His book, On Consenting to Be a Man is available from Cyberwit, a diversified publishing house
in Allahabad, India, which also produces the
Taj Mahal Review..
